Visiting Puerto Vallarta

Sep-24-2010 By GuestPoster

Mexico is one of the top tourist destinations in the world with over 20 million foreign visitors each year. The country is rich in history and has a diversity of culture, geography, ethnicity, art, music and climate. Inland Mexico is full of natural wonders, priceless antiquities and overwhelming beauty but the majority of tourists come to the coastal areas for the white sand beaches and the variety of watersports.

World famous resort communities lie on both the Caribbean and Pacific shores of Mexico and although each has its own attractions, Puerto Vallarta stands above the rest as a top vacation destination. Simply Vallarta, as frequent visitors and ex-patriot residents call it, lies at the head of Banderas bay. Jungle cloaked mountains rise up to the east and the rich Ameca valley to the north is an agricultural wonderland producing mangos, avocados and bananas.

The north beaches in Vallarta are in the hotel zone and dozens of luxurious structures overlook the dazzling Pacific Ocean.  There are numerous affordable timeshares with luxurious amenities.  So if you are interested in buying timeshares, this is a great place to look! Check out Casa Grande Vista Pacifico, Hotel Las Palmes Beach Resort, and Marina de Oro, just to name a few. There is always constant activity on the beaches; volleyball nets see endless games, jetskis race back and forth, boats pull aerial parasailers and bikini clad goddesses bake in the sun. Beach vendors peddle sombreros and serapes, fish tacos and churros and mariachis stroll and serenade the masses.

There is no end to activities in Puerta Vallarta; snorkeling and scuba diving is available, there are museums and art galleries, shopping for crafts from all over Mexico and jungle river trips to view parrots, flamingos, alligators and jaguars can be arranged. Exquisite dining can be had with a whole spectrum of international cuisine and the nightlife is made up of hard rock clubs, US style sports bars and Latin dance clubs.

If you have but one destination you’re able to visit in Mexico, Puerto Vallarta is the easy choice.
