Camping Municipal – France

Oct-27-2010 By GuestPoster

People love to camp.  Camping provides a great way to spend time with family and a wonderful change from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.  If you go camping in France, you can add historical places and beauty to the reasons to enjoy camping.  French people love camping.  Even the tiniest of towns in France provide accommodations for camping municipal.  Accommodations generally include bathrooms with showers and toilets.  The showers might, or might not have hot water.  Some do and some do not.  Some sites have hot water, electrical outlets, swimming pools, restaurants, shops, laundry rooms and even sports fields for recreation.

The most awesome sites have clean camping areas, great services, and great accommodations, including the opportunity to rent a caravan or chalet on a camp-site.  The French use a rating system to review the camping areas.  The best sites get a rating of four stars awarded by the authorities in Paris.  Their evaluations are easy to find and review on the internet.  The nicest campsites are given a stamp of approval called Quality Camps.  Fees for camping vary according to the type of service and type of accommodations offered.  Pitching a tent on the side of the road or in an empty field is discouraged.  This type of squatting is illegal in France, partly because of security risks.  Squatting next to the road or in an empty field increases a campers chances of being robbed.

July and August are the most popular months for camping in France.  Camp-sites fill up quickly.  Most camping in France is done with caravans, but greens for erecting tents are also available at many sites.  To have a successful camping trip, study the guidebook and plan the vacation well ahead of time.  Some great spots to camp include the Loire Valley, Paris, Nice, Normandy, Isere, and Auvergne.  Ski resorts in the mountains provide awesome sites and gorgeous scenery for those considering traveling to the Vosges, Southern Alps, Northern Alps, Juras or the Pyrenees.

In addition to the wide selection of campsites to choose from, France has historical sites, attractions and scenery to interest the whole family.  With a little planning and the correct gear the family can enjoy the holiday of their life, without having to mortgage the home or sell an organ.  Your family will really love it!

In terms of equipment you should consider a 6 man tent for families.

A Holiday Tuscany Style

Oct-23-2010 By GuestPoster

Tuscany Italy is one of the most famous parts of the world.  This are is known for its gorgeous countryside, as well as providing most of the world with its wine!  The scenery is made up of green pastures and rolling hills, covered in vineyards and olive trees.  If you want to be by the water, to the west you will find the Mediterranean sea and up North you will find the famous Italian lakes.  This why Tuscany is one of the most popular regions for Italian holidays.

The countryside isn't the only thing that makes this region so famous though.  This part of the world has some of the most famous cities and art there too.  Pisa is here, a charming tiny town known for its famous leaning tower.  There is also Siena, well known for its architectural beauty.  Florence is one of the most famous cities in the world, with its charming streets, famous bridges over the river, and of course, the giant church Il Duomo.  Milan isn't just historically famous, it continues to thrive as one of the most modern cities in the world.  Here you will find hot nightclubs and trendy bars for nightlife.  It is also one of the major fashion centers of the world.

If you are going to Tuscany on Italian holidays, you may want to consider holiday villas in Tuscany to rent.  If you find one in the middle of the region, you can stay in the gorgeous countryside, and have a relatively small commute to all the different cities.  This could end up saving you a lot of money, especially if you are with a big group.  Of course, if you are on a tight schedule, Tuscany hotels or Tuscany tours might be a better idea.

Regardless of how you decide to arrange your holiday Tuscany will prove to be one of the most memorable trips of your lifetime.

Finding Cheap Flights to Rome

Oct-22-2010 By GuestPoster

The first reply you normally receive from your friends and colleagues when you say you are going to Rome is that it is so expensive. This doesn't always have to be the case. There are things you can do if you are wise that will save you a lot of money and you will be able to enjoy it as much. It is always possible finding cheap hotels in Rome. The key to a budget friendly trip is good planning. You will have to shop around and find the best deals. It is also a  good idea to speak to people who have been to Rome before. Most people would have come back with great tips to give as to where not to waste your money and where the best deals would be for to go.

When it comes to finding cheap flights to Rome there are many. You will be surprised, but you will also have to be selective. Some people are fussy about who they fly with. At the end of the day when you are trying to save money on flights you can't be too fussed about what food you getting served and how much leg room you have in front of you. Many people spend thousands more than they should on airline travel in my opinion than they should. It is one night to your destination and you will have to grin and bear it.

There are many airlines that have now reduced their prices, especially since the recession and you can definitely get some great deals. Many of these airlines have a really good service and it is nothing to get stressed about. Italy has a good transport system and is ideal to get around by train. You could visit Venice for a few days and it will be something you won't forget in a hurry.

With all the things to do in Rome you won't get bored easily, but they do come at a price. Rome tours are not cheap either so this is when more planning has to come into play. The more you plan the more pleasant your trip will be.

Koh Tao Diving Spots

Oct-18-2010 By GuestPoster

Check out the Koh Tao Montra Resort as you Visit Tialand

Scuba diving is one of the many adventures that guests can enjoy during their stay on Koh Tao, Thailand. Koh Tao's seas offer excellent conditions for diving beginners as well as the experienced ones. It also offers affordable diving courses which makes the island a premier diving destination.

Many diving spots are located around the island. Some of them are:

Chumphon Pinnacle – is located in the northwest part of Koh Tao and is considered by many people as the best Koh Tao diving spot. It is made up of one huge granite pinnacle and a series of smaller ones. The pinnacle starts 14 meters underwater and drops off to 36 meters. It is covered with sea anemones and pink anemone fish. Divers can also find barracudas and jacks and bat fish. Pelagic fish like whale sharks and mantas may also pay visit during the right season.

Green Rock – it consists of boulder formations that allow divers to swim through the short tunnels. It is ideal for the beginners and intermediate divers and is considered to be the most fascinating Koh Tao dive spot. Divers may be able to spot parrot fish, white eyed morays, blue spotted stingrays as well as hawksbill turtles. It is also possible to spot less common fish like yellow marlin and triggerfish.

Koh Yippon – is located at the extreme north of the Angthong National Marine Park. It became famous because this was where the popular movie “The Beach” was shot. Snorkeling and diving are perfect at this site as it is noted for its shallow caves and swim throughs. Fusilier, soft corals, and stingrays can be found here. It's a great spot for novice divers because of its mild currents and shallow depths.

Nangyuan Pinnacle – is located on the east coast of Koh Nangyuan, which is about 250 meters off the northwest coast of Koh Tao. It has crystal clear waters and white sandy beaches making it a popular dive spot. The pinnacle extends to within one meter off the surface and allows the diver to dive up and down the boulder formations. Tropical reef fish, soft and hard corals, groupers, longfin bannerfish, and blue spotted stingrays can be spotted here.

The best time to visit Koh Tao Thailand is around October to April when there is less rainfall on the island. Koh Tao is an ideal dive place because of its very clear waters and an average temperature of 28 degrees celsius.

All Inclusive Vacation Packages

Oct-17-2010 By GuestPoster

If a family who has worked hard all year decides to take a vacation, they may be unsure of how to best spend their vacation dollars. Sometimes it is possible to take a luxury vacation without over-stretching the budget. There are numerous ways in which this can be done. For instance, one may wish to consider taking advantage of an all-inclusive vacation package.

Understanding the Definition of All Inclusive

Most people are aware of the term all inclusive, but some folks would like to obtain a better understanding of what may be offered with such a package. The term all inclusive should be a synonym for a stress free vacation, in which all one has to do is pay for the vacation, and then tuck away his or her wallet in a safe place until it is time to go home.

Packages such as this offer a wonderful, cost-effective way to vacation, and many people, once they have tried them, do not wish to vacation any other way. Basic all inclusive vacations cover accommodations, all meals, and alcoholic as well as non-alcoholic beverages.

The Types of Packages Offered

Depending on where one books the vacation, he or she should keep in mind that the items included will vary a bit from resort to resort. The aforementioned standard all inclusive vacations offer meals, accommodations and drinks. The food is generally buffet style, and the beverages will typically be domestic as opposed to top shelf, and the accommodations will be standard.

Luxury Package Options

Luxury vacation packages generally feature a bit more extravagant accommodations, as well as extra benefits such as tickets to local attractions, room service, and imported brands of liquor. Hotel tax and transportation fees may also be included.

All inclusive golf vacations, as well as tropical vacations are popular types of all inclusive packages, and have the ability to leave a person feeling as if he or she has been catered to like a king or queen.

Making a Vacation Stress-free

The best way to obtain a worry free vacation is to chose the all inclusive option. A person can put away his or her wallet for safekeeping and not have to think about opening it again for the entire vacation.

There are three things that should be done on a cruise to nowhere. This article will detail these things in this article.

1.    Go out to the deck or visit the bridge. This is the perfect opportunity for you to know how the journey to sea ends and begins. Ordinary ships do not allow guests to visit these areas, but in a cruise to nowhere you are free to do so. Grab this opportunity to fulfill your childhood dream of being a ship's captain or a friendly pirate out to look for treasures. There is no limit to your imagination. This other thought will be perfect for lovers: pretend to be Rose and Jack in Titanic. Go to the ship's deck and welcome the gush of wind and the smell of the sea together. Isn't that romantic?

2.    Read a good book. This is your chance to free your mind from thoughts of work and city life. Seek the quite solitude of your suite and unwind. A cruise to nowhere gives you the opportunity to reflect on how things have been for the past few years. It's like going on a spiritual retreat, you are close to nature and solitude becomes your best  companion.

3.    Lastly, enjoy as many activities as possible. Since these cruises only run for a maximum of three days, it is impossible for guests to enjoy everything. Hence, it will be very helpful if you will plan your personal itinerary even before you come on board. Ask for a list of activities from the ticketing agent. Out of the activities present, remove those that you have little or no interest at all. Highlight those you want to experience and create your own itinerary. To get the best of every interesting act for you, manage your time well. For example, a Royal Caribbean cruise to nowhere from New York may offer everything from casinos to fine dining; create a list of what matters most and stick to it.

A cruise to nowhere is more than just a weekend getaway, it is a constant reminder that life passes by too fast to waste a second of it doing nothing. Speaking of a week-end getaway, how about cruising the Hawaiian islands too?

One Week In Nicaragua

Oct-13-2010 By GuestPoster

If I had one week in Nicaragua, these are the things I would do. I'd most likely arrive by plane at Managua's international airport. But as I don't have local friends to visit I wouldn't stay in the capital city but head straight over to the lovely town of Granada (around 1 hour away) and base myself there for the next few nights.

Granada is a beautiful colonial town that has been very well preserved. Its historic center spreads over a walkable 10 city blocks with old churches and cathedrals jostling for position among grand old adobe buildings, charming plazas and colonial cottages. Spend a day taking in the vibrant street scene and then head to the lake shore for a tour of the 'Las Isletas'.

Las Isletas are a cluster of hundreds of miniature islands located just offshore from Granada in the shadow of Mombacho volcano. They are beatifically rich in flora and fauna (think birds and monkeys) and some are home to grand homes of some of the more well to do Nicaraguan families. If you've got time, another great day trip from Granada is to visit Laguna de Apoyo and the 'white villages' of Catarina and Diria that lie on its edge. You'll experience some of the best views in the entire country, and if you're after some local pottery, this is the place to buy it.

Your next stop is San Juan del Sur, a beautiful fishing village nestled in a wide half moon bay on the southern part of Nicaragua's coastline. The landscape here is dramatic with rugged headlands contrasting with secluded bays and inlets. It's so beautiful be careful you not lured by a property agent to purchase a piece of San Juan del Sur real estate for yourself. The real estate prices are definitely tempting, just look at the comparative figures over at Reveal Real Estate.

This area is a paradise for surfers, yachtsmen and fisherman. Time will pass quickly as you explore the beaches north and south of town. Just remember to head back to San Juan del Sur to enjoy one of the fiery sunset the area is famous for.

It's easy to spend all of your time at the beach but try and squeeze in a visit to Ometepe. This is an island in the middle of Lake Nicaragua made up of the twin volcanoes of Maderas and Conceptions. OK we're now out of time. But there is still much more to see and experience in Nicaragua. We haven't yet touched on Masaya volcano or the colonial town of Leon. The solution: plan another visit for part 2 of your Nicaraguan adventure.
